Differences between PVC and PE coated tents

  • PVC materials are more fire-resistant, flexible, long-lasting and durable than PE materials.
  • PVC coating is more resistant to UV radiation - UV radiation affects PVC material less, as well as to environmental influences such as wind, cold, etc.
  • PVC material is self-extinguishing - it does not burn near a flame, but contracts, PE material drips when burning, and continues to burn even when removed from the flame.
  • PVC material is less sensitive to temperature fluctuations.
