Cleaning the paella pan
It is not recommended to clean the pan with water, as water will loosen the protective layer that has burned into the pan and may cause rust. If this has been done, the previously described initial use steps must be repeated.
The surface of the pan is cleaned with coarse salt- After use and removing food residue, sprinkle coarse salt onto a hot pan (with a working burner); the old grease will be absorbed into the salt crystals. The pan should not be cleaned with detergents.– it leaves an unpleasant taste in the food. If a thick and uneven layer of dirt has accumulated on the pan, it can be removed with a metal or wooden spatula. Cleaning the windscreen – all parts of the windscreen are made of steel, which is galvanized (zinc-plated) and painted with heat-resistant powder paint. During use of the appliance, food residues, grease, etc. accumulate on the outer side panel. For cleaning, use ordinary grease-degrading dishwashing detergents, rinse thoroughly. Cleaning the burner – Light dirt can be removed from the burner with a dry or gently damp cloth. If the tiny holes on the burner are clogged, they can be cleaned with a thin metal wire.
